I'm taking a break from the heavy hunger related part of the DC trip, to show you pictures from the afternoon Devin and I went to Mount Vernon! On our last day we had a big chunk of free time, so we decided to metro and bus out to Virginia to see the Washington estate. It was probably the best way we could have used our time, and it was nice to get out of the city for a bit. It was the most beautiful day (as you can see from the pictures). I'll split this into two posts, starting in this post with photos from the Greenhouse garden, so as not to overwhelm anyone (also this internet is moving very slowly today).
